When individuals are detained on suspicion of a crime they are typically taken to a controlled area for questioning and observation by authorities. Communication between detainees and authorities can be monitored and recorded for future review. In many Interview or Interrogation applications today there is a one-way glass in at least one side of the room where someone can observe the interview process without being seen or heard by the person being interviewed. In most cases this window provides visual observation but requires live audio communication between the two environments.
The United States Department of Homeland Security has selected the Tech Works IC-Series Intercom systems to monitor detainees at international airports. Based on over 30 years of research and development, the IC-Series packs the functionality of a rack full of specialized audio equipment into a single compact unit. The IC-Series provides two-way communication, one-way observation, and remote recording. Our sophisticated Automatic Level Control technology delivers consistent, crystal clear, intelligible sound, from a whisper to a shout.
